On May 19, 2022, QwikSkills, a one-stop-shop for tech professionals and students, raised INR 3.85 (USD 490K) crore in a seed round spearheaded by Indian Angel Network (IAN) and other investors. Angel investors Manish Sinha and Naveen Gupta of IAN led the funding.

The Gurugram-based startup, which was founded in 2020, plans to use the newly raised funds to strategize and acquire the B2B2C segment with corporates, various educational institutes, universities, and colleges, to expand in India as well as the global markets of Europe, the United States, Asia-Pacific, and South-East Asia.

QuikSkills intends to use the cash to expand its staff by hiring cloud experts, developers, and sales and marketing teams for B2B and corporate sales, to capture a significant portion of the B2B market.

What the founder has to say:

Varun Mahajan, Co-Founder of QwikSkills:

“We plan to use this investment to improve our present capabilities and expand into enterprise and B2B corporate models.” We presently have AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud labs available. For hands-on skilling, we’ll be expanding our services to include VMWare, Salesforce, Alibaba, Huawei, IBM, and OpenStack in the future.”

What the investors have to say:

Manish Sinha, Lead Investor at IAN:

“QwikSkills addresses a significant gap in the Enterprise by offering existing and prospective employees with hands-on cloud experience and certifications, preparing them for a bright future in the cloud.” The QwikSkills platform also fosters a global network of experts who can learn from and assist one another. Businesses will be able to tap into the expertise of the community to create cloud-native business platforms.”
