Chapel Hill, USA-based a leading provider of data connectivity solutions, CData Software acquired Data Virtuality, Germany-based a global provider of data integration and management solutions. The company announced the investment on April 4, 2024. However, it did not disclose the amount of the transaction.

Purpose of the acquisition by CData Software

This will provide CData’s enterprise clients with a cutting-edge, cloud-native platform that can handle even the most complicated use cases demanding democratized access to real-time data, enabling them to take on large-scale data virtualization projects.

With the acquisition of Data Virtuality, CData enters a new chapter in its history by offering clients robust, centralized platforms for data integration that address the most pressing issues facing data management today.

As the only data management provider on the market, CData offers a bi-modal integration stack that enables users to take advantage of live data access and data replication on a single common connectivity platform. With the addition of data virtuality, CData can now provide enterprises with an enterprise-grade data virtualization platform that addresses the issue of live data access throughout the organization.

This expansion highlights CData’s rising relevance to enterprise firms by enhancing its product line, which offers solutions to organizations such as Fortune 500, Global 2000 companies, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Through this acquisition, CData will be in a better position to maintain its current rate of growth while moving its products upstream to better serve the needs of clients at the corporate level.
