Boston, USA-based, the leading talent optimization platform, The Predictive Index acquired San Francisco, USA-based, the performance management tool that simplifies people and team management, company previously known as Work Patterns, Charma. The company announced the funding on December 5, 2023. However, it did not disclose the amount of the transaction.

As a part of the deal, by the end of 2023, Charma CEO and co-founder Adam Berke will remain General Manager of Charma until the two companies fully integrate at the start of 2024. At that time, his reporting officer was Mike Zani, PI’s Chief Strategy Officer. In addition, Charma’s nine-person team also joined The Predictive Index to continue developing the product and servicing customers.

Purpose of the acquisition by The Predictive Index

The acquisition integrates The Predictive Index’s more than 65 years of behavioural data with Charma’s comprehensive performance management tool. It further enhances managers’ ability to oversee their teams’ performance, goals, and feedback in today’s work environment. The acquisition and closing of the deal was completed earlier in October 2023.

The acquisition marks a significant milestone for The Predictive Index. In addition, it signals a notable evolution of the talent optimization framework with the addition of post-hire solutions. PI also gets to offer unprecedented tools and insights for businesses navigating the complexities of management. The collaboration is not just a testament to PI’s commitment to innovating in the space but also delivers its clients to continuously provide cutting-edge solutions that foster excellence in talent optimization.

What the Predictive Index official has to add

The Predictive Index CEO, Mike Zani, said, “The opportunity to blend two incredibly complementary companies doesn’t come every day. Charma has harnessed some magic in its ability to significantly improve employee interaction and do so seamlessly with a product that makes every effort to meet people where they are already working. That, combined with PI’s extensive behavioural science data and mission of ‘Better Work, Better World’, allows PI to truly evolve into a pre- and post-hire tool.”

What the Charma official has to add
