Creative niches for starting a business in India

California’s SAN JOSE, AiM Future, reported that a Series A funding round had been successfully closed. L&S Venture Capital, Hi Financing Partners, Daedeok Venture Partners, and previous investors KB Investments and We Ventures lead the multimillion-dollar financing round. The Advanced Research Lab of LG Electronics, USA, was the source of the company until it was spun off in October 2020 by CEO ChangSoo Kim, CTO Jaehwa Kwak, and Executive Vice President of Hardware Engineering Jongtae Lee. In 2019, the first consumer items using the resulting semiconductor components entered into production. The core technology there started to be developed in 2015.

L&S Venture Capital’s Jihae Kim, the managing director, stated, “AiM Future has demonstrated to be a leading innovator in the quickly expanding market for edge AI devices. The group is well-positioned to challenge established technologies thanks to its experience delivering cutting-edge technology for consumer electronics.

“We are thrilled by the promising outlook that the disruptive technologies by AiM Future will soon present to the global market,” stated Young Jong Chi, CFA, CAIA, Director of Hi Investment Partners. The groundbreaking invention of AiM Future in the semiconductor, AI, robotics, and other industries will add new growth opportunities to this industry. This investment accelerates the team to compete globally during a significant AI and edge computing expansion.

“NPU is already the key component of sophisticated AI devices,” said Sungha Kim, a Venture Partner at Daedeok Venture Partners. “AiM Future is one of the leading NPU IP-based firms in Korea. We are delighted to have the opportunity to invest in this innovative innovator focusing on NPUs.

Director of KB Investments Jun Lee stated, “I am happy to carry on AiM Future’s path. LG Electronics home appliances have been successfully integrated with the company’s silicon-proven NPU IP. The scalability and versatility of the company’s NPU IP, which can be tailored to numerous products, distinguishes this AI semiconductor startup. Because of this, the company’s solutions are beneficial in a market where personalization and adaptability are valued highly.

The business, which has its headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, was established in late 2020 with LG Electronics as a strategic investor. Several top venture capital firms, including We Ventures, KB Investment, and D.Camp, subsequently invested in it during the seed round. The business focuses on creating compiler software and hardware accelerator IP for neural networks. To commercialize its flagship NeuroMosAIc architecture, the company signed multiple license agreements with partners worldwide in 2019.
