California’s SIMI VALLEY, March 21, 2023 — Frontier Aerospace Corporation (“Frontier”), a pioneer in next-generation liquid rocket engines for in-space propulsion, said today that AEI HorizonX has contributed USD 10 million to its Series A fundraising round.

Frontier was established in 2014 to offer advanced space propulsion options. Frontier uses a tried-and-true fast development methodology to provide trustworthy, mission-optimized, and thoroughly tested designs at affordable prices.

According to Frontier President McKinnon, “this most recent fundraising round will finance significant production and vacuum test facility growth and expedite Frontier’s engine development initiatives. “The main factor affecting schedules in the past has by far been test facility availability. A contemporary test facility will be completely created with this additional investment for quick deployment supporting significant forthcoming development projects.”

The conclusion of Frontier’s first concept-to-flight thruster program is the company’s recent delivery of flight thrusters supporting the NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services Program. For NASA and government primes, thruster research and testing are underway across a variety of thrust classes, for missions ranging from deep space exploration to commercial space and defense.

Brian Schettler, Partner and Head of AEI HorizonX, stated, “We are happy to help Frontier in its next stage of growth as it grows to satisfy the tremendous demand for cutting-edge propulsion systems from NASA, commercial aerospace, and defense firms. The Frontier team and AEI HorizonX are looking forward to working together to seize the new opportunities brought about by more incredible innovation and investment in the future space economy.
