California, USA-based provider of intelligent cellular coverage solutions, Nextivity acquired Assured Wireless. The company announced the acquisition on January 18, 2023. However, it did not disclose the amount of the transaction with respect to the purchase.
Founded in 2016, Assured Wireless Corporation is a San Diego, California-based provider of High Power User Equipment (HPUE) technology.
Purpose of acquisition by Nextivity
The recent acquisition of Assured Wireless enables Nextivity to serve the first responder sector with the most comprehensive FirstNet® coverage portfolio, such as indoors, outdoors and at the edge of the network. With the addition of HPUE from Assured Wireless, Nextivity can now offer a complete portfolio of solutions to address all communications needs anywhere, at any time.
The acquisition further enhances Nextivity’s SHIELD suite of public safety solutions. It now includes, solutions such as,
- SHIELD SOLO (formerly SOLO RED), the new 0.5W dual-band public safety BDA solution
- SHIELD EXTEND (formerly QUATRA RED), the 1W-6W flexible dual-band public safety plus FirstNet DAS solution
- SHIELD MegaRange HPUE
