Florida, the U.S.A-based provider of an AI-based business intelligence platform for senior living communities, TSOLife, closed its Series A round at USD 9 million. The company announced the closure on October 18, 2022.

Arnie Whitman, Executive Chairman at Formation Capital and Founding Partner of Generator Ventures, led the financing for the firm. Meanwhile, Omega Healthcare Investors and Ziegler Link-age Fund III joined in the investment.

Purpose of funding for TSOLife

With the latest proceeds from Series A funding, the company intends to fuel the development of its Minerva platform.

TSOLife Minerva is the first-of-its-kind business intelligence platform leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transcribe resident interviews. Further, it automatically converts the information into organized, consumable data. This person-centred data fuels powerful dashboards providing staff with personal, actionable insights and saving valuable staff time.

What the TSOLife official has to say

David Sawyer, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TSOLife said, “The pandemic fueled the understanding that engagement and resident experience is vital to the physical and mental health of residents and the success of a community. This funding round will accelerate our ability to enhance the lives of seniors by leveraging data to provide robust resident insight technology unique to TSOLife. We have a passion for bringing state-of-the-art tech to the market while never forgetting that our goal is to improve the lives of residents and staff.”

What the investors have to add

Katie Schmitz, Chief Administrative Officer of the Ziegler Link-age Fund III, said, “TSOLife improves staff efficiency not by demanding more, but by eliminating time-consuming tasks, which is a win-win for providers. The platform allows staff to spend more time doing what they love – engaging with residents!”

In addition, Arnie Whitman, lead investor, said, “TSO is the tip of the spear in gathering social insights to improve quality of life and relationships in a unique and powerful way. Data and AI will allow for more personalization and better social and health outcomes. Everyone talks about social determinants; TSO actually measures it!”

About the company

David Sawyer launched the company in 2014 TSOLife partners with senior living communities across the nation to provide a first-of-its-kind business intelligence platform using Artificial Intelligence (AI) called Minerva.

The next generation of the Minerva platform will leverage care-level-specific engagement data. It intends to help increasingly tech-savvy seniors self-select their own experience as well as take more control of their overall health and well-being.
