New York, the U.S.A-based largest provider of language and technology solutions for global business, TransPerfect, acquired Hiventy Group. The company announced the acquisition on October 18, 2022. However, the company did not unveil the financing details of the transaction.
Hiventy Group is Paris, France-based media house specializing in technical audiovisual services, including post-production, localization, distribution, and film restoration.
Purpose of acquisition by TransPerfect
TransPerfect views technical audiovisual services as an important growth market. With the acquisition of Hiventy Group, TransPerfect now has a total owned-and-operated footprint to more than 90 recording rooms and eight theatrical rooms worldwide. The purchase allows TransPerfect to expand its capacity for post-production, subtitling, dubbing, and audio description services. Besides, it can strengthen its content distribution and restoration offerings.
On the other hand, Hiventy Group gets to access new growth opportunities. It can now tap into new markets.
