Tempe and Las Vegas, the U.S-based payment technology company, Aurora Payments, acquired fintech company One Payment. The company announced the purchase on September 08, 2022. However, the financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed.

Purpose of acquisition by Aurora Payments

The recent acquisition of One Payment will aid in scaling Aurora. Moreover, Aurora intends to expand with One Payment’s East Coast presence.

Further, the extraordinary success of One Payments in selling into a traditionally difficult-to-penetrate market will diversify Aurora’s distribution channels. Henceforth, Aurora can expand its go-to-market capabilities with diversification.

On the other hand, One Payment seeks to expand its distribution by leveraging Aurora’s full-service payment ecosystem and proprietary technology.

What the Aurora CEO has to say

Aurora Payments CEO Brian Goudie said, “The incredible year-over-year growth that One Payment has enjoyed has our team ecstatic about this acquisition. One Payment adds significant value to Aurora with its roots on the East coast and accelerates our diversified go-to-market strategy.”

What the co-founder of One Payment has to add

Luis Requejo, the co-founder of One Payment, said, “Over the past 14 years working in the payments space, I have met few transformative people like Brian Goudie who can shape the outlook of an organization and be a positive influence for good. Since 2016, Brian has been instrumental in our success, and he is the visionary we want to help propel One Payment through the next stage of our company’s growth. One Payment is proud to “Rise with Aurora” as we pave a new path for our business, employees, and merchants.”
