Bigblue, a French firm, has raised US $15 million in a Series A fundraising round on 25th March 2022. For direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, the company runs an order fulfillment platform. Another way, a D2C firm may outsource all logistics to Bigblue, allowing them to focus on product and marketing.

The financing is being led by Runa Capital, with LPV serving as the “secondary lead investor.” Samaipata, an existing investor, is also returning as a participant.

Co-founder and CEO Tim Dumain said in a statement:

The Founders!

“With this new round, we will continue to position Bigblue as the leader in the D2C fulfillment space by scaling service offerings for Bigblue’s growing base of online merchants, fueling hiring efforts, and continuing to position the company as the leader in the D2C fulfillment space,” says the company.

What the company does:

The merchandise is then sent to the final customer through Bigblue’s carrier network every time a customer orders something from a Bigblue client. The firm has over 20 different carrier connectors and can ship anywhere in Europe — and even the world — but finding new D2C fulfillment partners in other regions might be a better option.

To personalize the experience for end clients, Bigblue allows you to customize your packaging and include fliers in the package. Customers are asked to file a return request on a branded return site if something is wrong. It accepts both store credit and refunds.

The end outcome is straightforward. Bigblue wants to provide a similar experience to Amazon but with a third-party logistical stack. Bigblue works with various sales platforms, including Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Wix, and Magento, as well as Cdiscount, Fnac, and, yes, Amazon.

Currently, the company is active in France, Spain, and the United Kingdom. It has entered into agreements with five separate warehouses totaling more than 60,000 square meters of storage space. Customers of Bigblue can transport their items straight to these warehouses, where they will be housed and maintained by Bigblue.
