Eupheus Learning acquires ClassKlap at a valuation of USD 19 Million

On Tuesday,  Eupheus Learning, a business-to-business edtech startup, announced that it acquired a student personalization startup ClassKlap 19 Million at a valuation of USD 19 Million (INR 140 Crore)  in an all-stock deal. 

After this acquisition, the combined entity will now have a reach of 18,000 schools all across the country. The consolidation of ClassKlap, Micheal and Susan Dell Foundation and LGT Aspada will join its Captable along with its previous backers Sixth Sense Ventures, United Education Company (UEC), Yuj Kutumb, and AI Rayan Holding Company.

About ClassKlap – 

ClassKlap is a Bengaluru-based edtech company founded in 2009, which operates in the B2B edtech segment, is a personalization curriculum programme which is based on school adopted by across 800 affordable private schools across India. ClassKlap has a dominant aura than Euphues in the affordable private school with a tech application to personalize learning for school children. 

“In the K-12 school space in India, Eupheus Learning and ClassKlap have been dominant in their respective segments of premium and affordable private schools. With this integration, ClassKlap can unlock greater potential in the premium school segment,” said Varun Kumar and Naveen Mandava, co-founders, ClassKlap.

“Moreover, with our personalization technology and learning analytics focus, our combined ability to transform classroom learning using student data can be massively scaled up,” they added.

About Eupheus – 

Euphues Learning is a Delhi-based edtech startup founded by Sarvesh Shrivastava, Ved Prakash Khatri and Kapoor in June 2017. IT is developing integrated learning solutions for the K-12 market in India. Last week it announced it had raised $10 million in Series C funding from private equity firm Light rock India.

The startup plans to use the funds to scale faster, expand its geographical reach and pursue acquisitions.

“Now, we will move into the affordable school space to create a larger impact across schools and students. This will not just drive economies of scale but also shape innovation in the learning domain with analytics,” said Amit Kapoor, co-founder, Eupheus Learning.

“It will also enhance the traditional channel of servicing schools by introducing hybrid solutions and their delivery in the curriculum and supplemental space,” he said.

“We are better placed now to focus on delivering personalized solutions to students, aiding their overall development through integrated curricular and co-curricular solutions—one of the major mandates of NEP (National Education Policy) 2020,” Kapoor further added.
