Digital publishing solutions startup Quintype gains US$ 3.4M in Series A funding

Bengaluru, India-based SaaS startup, Quintype has obtained US$ 3.4M in a Series A funding round held in November 2020, led by IIFL AMC.

The fresh funds will be leveraged by Quintype for expansion into Southeast Asia, starting with Singapore. The expansion in Singapore will help digital media publishers over there shift from outdated content management systems to their digital equals to successfully become a part of the thriving online economy within the region. The startup is also planning to enter Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Founded in 2016 by Raghav Bahl, Quintype provides fully-integrated software systems to empower media professionals, such as writers and editors, to publish their content online without being proficient in technical skills such as programming. These software systems are powerful, easy-to-use and reliable. Its suite of solutions offers 4 products namely: Bold, a content management software that helps users create, curate, distribute content effortlessly; Ahead, provides content presentation software for an enthralling online presence; Metype, for absolute audience engagement; and Accesstype, for robust content monetization.

Along with the fundraising, Quintype also declared the launch of Page Builder, a layout arrangement management solution that helps media professionals manage website branding, designs and styles effortlessly through its no-code development platforms. The startup claims its platform has been used by over 200 publishers globally and attains a monthly viewership of over 1 billion readers.

Previously, the startup raised US$ 3.25M in a seed funding round in 2015 from its founder Raghav Bahl.
