MIAMI— ROOK (formerly known as RookMotion) announced that it had secured USD 1.7 million in pre-seed investment to continue providing businesses with more practical, ready-to-use health data and insightful information from wearables and other sources of health data.

Numerous well-known VC and angel groups, including AlliedVC, CrossOceanFund, Harvard Business Fund, Hilltop Venture Partners, InstaVC, IrieVC, IQ Ventures, Liebenthal, Mana Ventures, MCMA VC, Stadia Ventures, Techstars, and TheSageHouse, participated in this new funding round, which was headed by the NuFund Venture Group. Pankaj Kedia, a prominent AI/Deep Tech angel investor, NuFund member, and former global head of wearables at Qualcomm, has joined our board and will serve as an investor.

The EndeavorLAB and Stadia Ventures accelerator programs have also accepted ROOK, and the company looks forward to actively participating in them over the coming three to six months.

As wearables have gained popularity, there is a lot of unrealized potential in the 24/7/365 health indicators they produce. ROOK provides a solution for obtaining data across a fragmented market so businesses may more simply and efficiently get and apply essential user data and insights. It does this by offering a single integration for hundreds of wearables and an additional level of processing.

The firm formerly known as RookMotion has changed its name and rebranded to reflect its transition to a B2B SaaS emphasis. The new brand identity for ROOK more effectively captures and conveys who they are, what they do, and their future goals, which extend beyond the fitness industry to include healthcare, insurance, wellness, and other areas.

The CEO and co-founder of ROOK, Marco Benitez, expressed his excitement for the company’s upcoming growth stage. “ROOK’s mission has always been to help individuals become connected to the resources they need to do more, initially through hardware and software, and now more than ever through our API. We can concentrate on our ability to give the tools for improved understanding so businesses may transform issues into opportunities by focusing on our capacity to provide more relevant biomarker data and insights. We will encourage even more individuals to learn, create, and accomplish more with ROOK with the help of this round of funding.

A B2B SaaS firm, ROOK, is on a quest to make the world healthy. The ROOK API delivers data-driven recommendations while integrating and embedding wearable health measurements into current apps and services. We reduce the resources and analysis needed for our clients to acquire valuable insights and take advantage of unforeseen possibilities by gathering and converting health data in this process.
