Illinois, USA-based, a global leader in applied safety science, UL Solutions acquires CERE, a privately-owned, Madrid, Spain-based third-party testing, simulation and certification company. The company announced the acquisition on August 23, 2023. However, it did not disclose the amount of the transaction.
Purpose of the transaction by UL Solutions
With the latest financing, UL Solutions seeks to expand its grid code compliance testing, grid simulation and certification services for inverter-based resources supporting renewable energy and electric vehicle adoption in Europe.
In addition, the acquisition also enhances UL Solutions’ safety as well as electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) services for renewables and medical devices.
