Israel’s PETAH TIKVA, May 25, 2023 -DouxMatok, a pioneer in food technology, has announced a rebrand as Incredo LTD. Incredo has announced that it has raised $30 million in a Series C funding round to support research and development, integrate its product in a variety of applications, and accelerate its commercial partnerships. The company’s trademark product, Incredo® Sugar, serves as the inspiration for the new name. Leading this most recent round of fundraising are dsm-firmenich Venturing and Sienna Venture Capital, together with critical business partners like Ferrero and investments from brand-new investors like Teseo Capital as well as previous round leaders Pitango and BlueRed Partners.

The company will be able to invest more money in Incredo’s research, development, and commercialization of its flagship product, Incredo® Sugar. With no alteration to taste, mouthfeel, or texture and no changes to the ingredients list, Incredo Sugar is a groundbreaking, delectable, clean-label sugar reduction solution that cuts the quantity of sugar in sweet foods by 30–50%. Incredo Sugar helps transfer sugar molecules to the tongue’s sweet taste receptors by fusing real cane or beetroot sugar with minute amounts of a natural carrier. As a result, less sugar is needed to achieve the same amount of sweetness.

As we prepare for a period of continuous growth and commercialization, Ari Melamud, CEO of Incredo LTD, said, “Now that our flagship product, Incredo Sugar, has become commercially available and is gaining more awareness within the industry, we have decided to simplify our communications by unifying our identity under the name “Incredo” – a single, powerful brand that will be memorable to our customers.

The most recent fundraising round for Incredo follows a fruitful 2022 in which it announced alliances with Batory Foods and Blommer Chocolate Company. Incredo plans to expand the availability of Incredo Sugar across the US, Europe, and Israel in 2023, speeding up the commercialization of the product.

“Incredo has developed one of the most promising innovations in the food space we’ve seen — a delicious, affordable, and clean-label product that can reduce the sugar in foods without additives or changes to taste,” said Isabelle Amiel-Azoulai, Managing Partner at Sienna Venture Capital. “Incredo has everything in place for Incredo Sugar to appear in products across the globe, and our capital infusion will help support this mission-driven business to accelerate its growth.”
