USA-based Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, entered into a definitive agreement to acquire AutoTalks, the Israel-based fabless semiconductor company. The company announced the acquisition on May 8, 2023. However, the agreement is subject to customary closing conditions. Besides, the company did not disclose the amount of the transaction.

Purpose of acquisition by Qualcomm Technologies 

The integration of Autotalks’ expertise as well as industry-leading products and Qualcomm’s 20 years of automotive industry experience and commitment, aids in accelerating the development and adoption of V2X solutions. 

The production-ready, dual-mode, Autotalks standalone safety solutions are to be incorporated into Qualcomm Technologies’ expanding Snapdragon® Digital Chassis product portfolio, the company’s comprehensive set of cloud-connected automotive platforms.
