Financial Planning Software Platform Cube

A solution from the Netherlands-based company Instruqt makes it easier for businesses to test how new software will function inside their setting. It first secured EUR 15 million in a Series A round that Blossom Capital wholly drove after bootstrapping its way to growth.

If a software product can be shown in a real-world setting, selling it to a business is significantly more straightforward. As a result, some firms have emerged that operate their SaaS product in a sandbox-style environment so that the client organisation can test it out without having to deploy it ultimately. The platform puts customers or prospects in control of the buying process so they may actually use the product before making a decision.

This implies that the client receives a functional product demo without having to invest a significant amount of time and money or perhaps even sign a contract. Compared to a hypothetical “demo,” which might look and sound good but may be a complete disaster in practise, that is a much more effective technique to market a product. Companies that provide goods in this space include ReadyTech, CloudShare, and Skillshare.

According to Instruqt, it was established in 2018 and is used by organisations like RedHat, MongoDB, Datadog, and HashiCorp. They provide “self-service demos” and free trials for potential customers using it.

Coert Baart, the CEO, and Adé Mochtar, the co-founder and CTO, are in charge of the business. Baart was a co-founder of XebiaLabs until it was sold to TPG Capital in 2020 for an undisclosed sum.

In a statement, Baart said:

“Having been bootstrapped since the beginning, it was always going to take a VC who truly understood our vision for us to take outside capital.”

“Instruqt hits the sweet spot for buyers and sellers alike when it comes to tackling the key challenges faced in all sizes and sectors of business,” continued Ophelia Brown, founder, and managing partner at Blossom Capital.
