25 January 2023, AUSTIN, Texas — With participation from current financial and strategic investors GreatPoint Ventures, Morpheus Ventures, GM Ventures, Tao Capital Partners, Ericsson Ventures, Clearvision Ventures, Tau Ventures, NedBank CIB, and others, RapidDeploy, the leading provider of cloud-native 911 mapping and analytics solutions for Public Safety, announced today the raising of USD 34 million in new growth capital. Edison Partners, a leading growth equity investment firm, is the lead investor. The entire amount raised by RapidDeploy now stands at USD 87 million.

Using its technology, RapidDeploy now has more than 1,500 contracted 911 centres and ten statewide contracts. The business has sold to significant corporate clients, most recently GM’s OnStar for its call centres. RapidDeploy will be able to expand on its achievements thanks to this additional expansion funding, speed go-to-market projects, and continue to innovate for the public safety industry. The business takes pride in its ability to service its mission-critical partners and clients, and it will expand to keep up with the rising demand for their solutions.

According to Steve Raucher, CEO and Co-Founder of RapidDeploy, “With this financing, we’ll be able to pursue our aim of saving lives by lowering reaction times.” “The fact that Edison Partners is the main investor and has such extensive operational knowledge excites us. With our track record of delivering tightly integrated mission-critical software to one of the most demanding sectors of the American economy, this investment will enable us to serve our clients better. To further the mission, we are here!”

The next-generation, cloud-native solutions from RapidDeploy include Eclipse Analytics, a tool that enables Public Safety leaders to make better decisions to enhance the effectiveness of the entire 911 workflow, and Radius Mapping, a mapping tool intended to cut response times and significantly improve how 911 calls are handled. The “best in class” solutions include Radius Mapping and Eclipse Analytics.

“First Responders should have access to an easily understandable single pane of glass customized systems that tap into all available data streams and communication channels. Adoption of RapidDeploy’s Radius Mapping and Eclipse Analytics products demonstrates clearly that these products are the go-to solutions, “said investment leader and Edison Partner Daniel Herscovici. “With a clear technological edge, CEO Steve Raucher and his staff are regarded as the best partner and innovators. The emergency response infrastructure of our country will change, and lives will be saved thanks to their idea of developing an operating system for a next-generation 911 response.”
