London, UK-based data creation and behavioural data company, Snowplow acquired Poplin Data. The company announced the acquisition on January 11, 2023. However, it did not disclose the amount of the transaction.

Launched in 2016, Poplin Data is an Australia-based IT Services and IT Consulting company.

Purpose of acquisition by Snowplow

With the recent acquisition of Poplin Data, Snowplow seeks to accelerate the delivery of its Data Product Accelerators (DPAs). 

Meanwhile, Snowplow’s location in Sydney aids in the company’s international expansion, following the opening last year of its HQ2 in Boston, Massachusetts, and the addition of a team in Berlin, Germany, to serve its customer base in the DACH region.

Poplin Data was Snowplow’s first global partner and has been the largest external developer of Snowplow ecosystem tools.
