Netherlands-based health tech startup developing sound-based medical technology (and software tools) to empower clinicians at the point of care and to enhance remote consultations, Lapsi Health raised USD 3.5 million in an oversubscribed seed round. The seed round took place on January 10, 2023. Sahir Ali of Modi Ventures led the financing for the firm. Pre-Seed investors of the company, such as Vendash and Bolwork, joined in the funding. Besides new investors, Israeli-Ukrainian software development company BeKey, provided the funding.

Purpose of financing for Lapsi Health 

With the latest financing from the oversubscribed seed round, Lapsi Health intends to continue its technology development.

It also seeks to acquire FDA certification. Besides, the company has plans to begin commercialization activities in the USA.

The company earlier raised USD 700K in a pre- seed round in March 2022. Moreover, it received a grant of USD 1 million from Eurostars.

Jhonatan Bringas Dimitriades, CEO at Lapsi Health, said, “During the year, we released four generations of prototypes and two native applications. We have been able to validate our technology and showcase it in several venues worldwide and to several medical leaders. This helped us to secure the next step in the funding for our company, now with the goal of bringing our technology to the market during 2023”.

Jhonatan Bringas further added, “With his vast med-tech experience, we will be able to develop and iterate even faster.”

In addition, Advisory Board Member and co-Chair of the DTRA, Craig Lipset, said, “As a patient, all of my encounters with my primary care provider and my pulmonologist involve listening to my lungs. Lapsi Health brings that capability with confidence for remote care as well as remote clinical trials. The technology will improve patient experience and outcomes while supporting the new normal for healthcare and clinical research.”
