Gardner Capital, a Dallas-based private equity firm and alternative investment platform focused on multifamily housing and renewable energy development and investment announced that the Provision at West Belfort, a new multifamily housing complex in Sugar Land, Texas, has secured a funding commitment from the GCRE Upward Mobility Fund to install an on-site solar energy system as well as EV Charging stations, which will provide tenants with significantly discounted changing.

The financing pledge is part of Gardner Capital’s commitment to sustainable energy and the Upward Mobility Fund’s mission to encourage initiatives that provide accurate and significant savings to families and seniors. Gardner Capital’s Alternative Investments Platform includes the GCRE Upward Mobility Fund, which offers finance for initiatives promoting sustainable energy for multifamily housing or upward mobility.

According to the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, solar energy is the fastest-growing energy source in the United States. However, its application in multifamily dwellings could be more extensive. Gardner Capital hopes to alter that with its Alternative Investments Fund Platform, which will invest up to USD 500,000 annually in grants and soft loans to people and firms who submit creative proposals.

Senior Vice President of Gardner Capital’s CRM Group, Tiffany Hoang:

“This financial commitment benefits everyone involved. It will increase residents’ access to clean energy while lowering their energy bills and provide significant EV charging savings to current and future residents. Will oversee installing solar energy systems and electric vehicle charging stations for the Gardner Capital Multifamily Portfolio. We are happy to provide additional access to EV Charging while saving tenants across Texas considerable money.”

Applicants can apply for money from the GCRE Upward Mobility Fund via Gardner Capital’s website’s Alternative Investments Fund; funding is limited to USD 25,000 per project (subject to waiver for special considerations). All applications focusing on improving access to or adopting renewable energy (or associated projects) will be reviewed, with a premium given to ideas that also help low to moderate-income families or other disadvantaged groups and communities.
