Chicago, the U.S.A-based provider of a comprehensive communications platform, Cision acquired Factmata. The company announced the acquisition on November 17, 2022. However, it did not disclose the amount of the purchase.
Factmata Limited, launched in 2017, is a London, UK-based social and news media monitoring and analytics product leveraging AI.

With the recent acquisition of Factmata, Cision intends to expand its offering. The acquisition of Factmata marks Cision’s mission to empower communications and PR professionals with AI and narrative detection technology.

Cision is a portfolio company of Platinum Equity. The latter acquired the former earlier in 2020.

In 2017, founders Andreas Vlachos, Dhruv Ghulati and Sebastian Riedel launched the company. Factmata provides a technology platform that delivers accurate and unbiased insights helping brands, agencies, and organizations understand the online world and which conversations are gaining traction.
