LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19, 2022 – The New Computer Corporation (NCC), developers of decentralized application programme interfaces (dAPIs) that provide web3 infrastructure and utility, announced a USD 2.5 million initial fundraising round led by Borderless Capital today. The round was also attended by Eterna Capital, PEER, Algorand Foundation, Hivemind Ventures, Web Tree Capital, Noise DAO, Valentine Venture, Ten Ventures, Marcus Eng, Big Brain Holdings, and SongADAO.

The new product package delivers utility and infrastructure tools for developers to create enjoyable, collaborative, and creative web3 experiences. Interoperability of decentralized application program interfaces (dAPIs) allows various apps to “talk” to one another, opening up a world of possibilities for customers producing web3-compliant apps and platforms. NCC is devoted to supporting the establishment of a new creative economy that promotes transparency and online fun by utilizing Algorand blockchain technology as the basis.

The global internet has promised to democratize publishing and make revenue more equitable. It has not been delivered after three decades, but the potential remains. The internet economy contributed USD 2.5 trillion to the total gross domestic product (GDP) of the United States in 2020. The combined revenue of the top ten internet companies in the United States will be USD 1.4 trillion in 2021.

This vast accumulation of wealth is barely visible to the creators, who are still underpaid for their efforts. Their participation is being exploited at the same time, for example, through the expansion of user data collection and targeted and third-party ad networks. Big business relies on culture and creativity in general. According to the NCC, with the right tools, the internet has the potential to rebalance the economic scales in favor of creators.

The NCC has announced the release of its dAPI tools, which will provide economic transparency and equitable revenue to online creators. The toolkit’s familiar modular format and interoperability, such as “Switzerland for web3,” enables existing developers to seamlessly construct and combine a stack of services.

The funds will be used to grow the engineering and product teams at NCC. The company will continue to develop more easily stackable dAPI services, as well as provide developers with the tools they need to create different services for all the creators and publishers who want to make the internet a better, more enjoyable place.
