Oct. 6, 2022 — Los Angeles — Yummers, the recently established omnichannel pet lifestyle brand, revealed today that it closed a USD 6.3 million seed round with participation from Caravan, FS Investors, C&S Family Capital, Platinum Mile Ventures, Louis Kreisburg, and L Catterton, the largest global consumer-focused private equity firm. The additional funding will help Yummers’ omnichannel brand strategy, which aims to reach high-end pet parents nationwide and includes a national collaboration with Petco.

Yummers, was created by Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness, two loving pet parents and stars of Netflix’s Emmy Award-winning series Queer Eye, in collaboration with Rebecca Frechette Rudisch, a leader in the pet and consumer products industries. Eighteen different high-quality food mix-ins for dogs and cats are included in Yummers’ initial range of premium products. These additions provide pets’ meals with more flavor, diversity, and nutrients for a balanced and nutritious meal.

Although pets have always been seen as family members, Whitney Casey, Venture Partner at L Catterton, noted that they rapidly become humanized on all fronts. “Pet owners are concentrating on spending money on high-end goods and experiences to provide their cherished animals the best possible care. Yummers expands the window of personalization accessible to build holistic feeding solutions that target particular nutritional needs with its innovative products, which feature simple-to-use mix-ins. Unbeatable talent leads the Yummers team, and we look forwards to using our vast investment experience in the pet food industry to assist Yummers’ ongoing growth and success.”

According to Yummers Co-Founder Rebecca Frechette Rudisch:

“I’ve believed that the pet space deserves a brand that brings the emotion of pet parenthood to the forefront, giving pet parents permission to create the extraordinary lives their furry friends deserve. In addition, I’m honored to deepen my friendship with L Catterton, which has already lasted more than ten years. Since I’ve collaborated with the company on other projects, I couldn’t think of a finer partner with whom to start the Yummers adventure.

Pauline Moller, co-founder and CEO of Caravan, said:

“At Caravan, we helped uncover a unique opportunity in the fast-growing pet industry to establish a compelling brand that resonated with pet parents’ heightened standards surrounding feeding, nurturing and bonding with their pets. We are ecstatic to have worked closely with Antoni, Jonathan, and Rebecca to develop and launch this brand and to be a co-founding partner in Yummers. We are ecstatic about its continuous development.”

In order to provide dogs and cats with a satisfying and nutritious meal, Yummers began in 2022 with the goal of making pet mealtime extraordinary. Along with Rebecca Frechette Rudisch, a pet and consumer products industry expert, and Caravan, a co-creator of businesses authentically powered by the world’s most iconic artists and athletes, Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness, who are both pet lovers and stars of the Netflix series Queer Eye, co-founded the brand.
