Robotics and artificial intelligence startup BotsAndUs has raised £10.5 (USD 11.1) million in initial money to launch its disruptive logistics solution globally on June 27, 2022.

The London-based company quickly processes pallets at every stage of their trip through a warehouse using completely autonomous mobile robots.

The robots are triggered by the arrival of the items and record their quantity and condition as they enter and exit the warehouse. The identical robots scan items placed on shelves and note their location and amount.

Maersk Growth, Kindred Capital, and Capnamic all participated in the round, which Lakestar led.

With the additional funding, BotsAndUs is focusing on advancing product development in countries including Germany, France, the Nordics, the United States, and Canada.

What the founder has to say:

Co-founder and CEO Andrei Danescu:

“Robotics and artificial intelligence are already revolutionizing logistics thanks to BotsAndUs.

Our platform that combines robotics and AI is aiding businesses in increasing productivity and realizing their full potential. We are convinced we can recognize our objective: transform global logistics with real-time data to reduce errors and improve efficiency at every stage.”

What the investor have to say:

Lakestar partner- Christoph Schuh:

“More than 80% of warehouses are entirely devoid of automation. Automation undoubtedly holds the key to ensuring logistics operations are as efficient as possible, with warehouses expected to grow by 50% by 2025 and a labor shortage of over 30%.

The logistics sector has always experienced margin pressure and limited resources for investing in digital infrastructure. This foundation and long-term automation of warehousing operations are made possible by the real-time data gathering capabilities of BotsAndUs.

We’re thrilled to join the outstanding team on their mission to improve logistics and help businesses operate at their peak performance.”

More about the company:

Important clients from a variety of industries have previously chosen BotsAndUs. Along with Maersk and Huboo, Menzies Aviation, which provides air cargo services at more than 200 airports throughout the continent, including London Heathrow, is a partner of BotsAndUs.

The company recently formed a partnership with Maersk, a leading global integrator of container logistics, to work with the company’s contract logistics and warehousing division. The partnership will initially focus on automating inventory management and acceptance procedures in one of Maersk’s warehouses to enhance customers’ visibility and access to inventory across facilities.
