Mumbai, India-based content marketplace Pepper Content raised USD 14.3 million in Series A Funding. The round took place on June 9, 2022. Bessemer Venture Partners led the funding for Pepper Content.

Meanwhile, Lightspeed, Tanglin Venture Partners, and Titan Capital invested in the Series A funding. Prominent angel investors such as Kunal Shah (founder, CRED), Gokul Rajaram (Doordash, board member – Coinbase, Pinterest), Ritesh Agarwal (founder and CEO, OYO), Ashish Gupta (founder, Helion.vc and Board Member, HUL) and others also participated in the round.

Purpose of Funding for Pepper Content

With the recent investment, The company will further bolster its presence in the US market. Besides, it looks to diversify its offerings to newer categories like graphic design, language translations, and video content creation.

Pepper Content has grown 16 times in revenue in the last 14 months alone. It aims for a high double-digit ARR growth by the end of 2022. In addition, the startup invested in building tools for its freelancers.

Anirudh Singla and Rishabh Shekhar founded Pepper Content in 2017. It is a content marketplace that caters to the content requirements of companies. Earlier in October 2020, the platform raised USD 4.2 million (Rs 30.7 crore) in its Series A round.

So far, it has worked with more than 2,500 customers. Giants and large enterprises such as Adani Enterprises, NPS Trust, Hindustan Unilever, P&G; financial services, and insurance companies such as HDFC Bank, Cred, Groww, SBI Mutual Fund, Tata Capital, and technology firms such as Binance, Google, and Adobe are a part of Pepper’s clientele.
