Axilor, an early-stage seed fund, and Dvara Venture Studio have invested US $2 million in Dvara E-Dairy Solutions Pvt Ltd on 1st June 2022, an agri-fintech business. The startup was incubated at Dvara Holdings’ Dvara Venture Studio (formerly Dvara Trust).

What the founder has to say:

Ravi K.A, CEO, Dvara E-Dairy Solutions:

“By using new-age technology, Dvara E-Dairy Solutions empowers small dairy farmers with preventive and primary care for their animals and financial inclusion. With precise reports, the novel technology assists financial services organizations in underwriting cattle activities and achieving growth. We are thrilled to have Axilor on board as a partner in this endeavor, and we are convinced that this investment will help us achieve our goal of improving the lives of countless small and medium dairy farmers across the country.”

What the investors have to say:

Ganapathy Venugopal, Co-founder, and CEO of Axilor:

“India’s dairy industry is worth more than US 140 billion dollars. Despite its size and importance to farmers’ livelihoods, the sector is technologically underdeveloped. Cattle producers have no way of measuring and monitoring their cattle’s health, and they often have limited financial resources. E-technology Dairy has the potential to help cow ranchers establish their identification, improve cattle health, and gain financial access. We’re pleased to join E-Dairy on their quest to become India’s preeminent platform for cow farmers.”

Samir Shah, Executive Vice-Chair & Co-founder, Dvara Holdings:

“Dvara Venture Studio has focused on incubating startups that address market shortcomings in scaled financial inclusion. We’re excited to work with Axilor and its team to help take Dvara E-Dairy to the next level by leveraging Axilor’s patented bovine AI-based facial recognition techniques and digital finance platform to assist India’s 90 million+ smallholder cattle farmers.”

About the company:

Dvara E-Dairy has been focusing on tackling the problem of small and marginal dairy farmers since its establishment in 2019 by establishing an ecosystem platform and using new-age technologies that enable access to appropriate financial and cattle management services. Small and medium dairy farmers can use the Surabhi platform to get comprehensive financial and livestock management solutions. It also allows financial institutions and value chain organizations to make well-informed decisions about the dairy industry.

Dvara E-growth Dairy’s plans in other areas will be accelerated by Axilor’s investment, which will enable it to scale up operations and invest in technology for improved optimization. Dvara E-Dairy has impacted over 150,000 farmers and established over 100 agreements throughout seven states.
