HeyJobs has raised US $47 million in Series B funding on 24th March 2022, led by Digital+ and FMZ Ventures, with current investors Notion Capital, Heartcore Capital, and Creator Ventures also participating. This is the most significant funding round ever for a career platform in Germany.

HeyJobs will use the funds to advance artificial intelligence’s application in talent acquisition, furthering their aim of “helping everyone find the ideal job to live a satisfying life.” With this in mind, HeyJobs is also establishing best practices as an employer. The company has doubled its headcount in the last 12 months to 300 people and is constantly hiring fresh and seasoned experts across product, data science, engineering, and business jobs. It was recently named the top tech employer in Berlin-based on a Glassdoor rating of 4.7.

What the founder has to say:

The Founders!

Marius Luther, Founder & CEO:

“We are proud of how we assist businesses in achieving their employment objectives more efficiently and cost-effectively. But it’s the fact that we’ve altered the lives of over 100,000 people by helping them find their next big break. We were responsible for almost 1% of all German jobs in 2021. While this is a good demonstration of our relevance, it still seems like Day 1 regarding the long-term value we can provide.”

What the investors have to say:

Founding Partner and Managing Director at Digital+ Partners:

“HeyJobs is excellently positioned to accelerate its expansion in Germany, Europe, and beyond, with an amazing team, a mature technology-driven company, and a product proposition built on two pillars, critical people and employers.”

Michael Zeisser of FMZ Ventures, former Chairman Alibaba Investments, said:

“It’s an honor to support this team and their mission as HeyJobs is a leading next-generation company in the emerging Experience Economy; its purpose is to provide users with the economic opportunity to realize their full human potential.”

About HeyJobs:

Marius Jeuck and Marius Luther created HeyJobs in 2016 in response to Europe’s rapidly shifting labor demographics: Employers in Europe are facing dramatic decreases in available labor as the “boomer” generation approaches retirement. Germany, for example, loses 500,000 jobs per year. It’s no surprise that the “labor shortage” is Germany’s top growth issue.

HeyJobs assists organizations in finding ‘critical talent’ in over 100 different professions, including truck drivers, nurses, and electricians. The organization distinguishes itself by using proprietary machine learning methods and a unique data set. “Whereas five years ago we could tell the difference between a nurse and a driver, our AI today knows who is a skilled critical care unit nurse looking for three-night shifts,” says Marius Luther, Founder & CEO of HeyJobs. HeyJobs’ mission is to become Europe’s leading career platform for vital talent. “It’s incredible how we as a society have ignored the largest share of the workforce for decades – 30 million in Germany alone, and over 200 million key talent across Europe.” They are entitled to better.
