About Infermedica

Founded in 2012 by Irving Loh, Piotr Orzechowski, and Roberto Sicconi, Infermedica is located in Wroclaw, Poland. Infermedica is an AI-driven healthtech platform providing users with pre-diagnosis and triage services powered by AI. The startup aims to ease the strain on global healthcare systems and make healthcare more convenient, affordable, and accessible by automating primary care. The startup’s platform MGP (Medical Guidance Platform) streamlines healthcare decision-making and supports the symptom-to-outcome process.

Moreover, the company relies on artificial intelligence and machine learning to identify patterns in data. Nevertheless, the team of physicians verifies each element of the medical database to ensure that patients trust recommendations. In recent years, growth has been robust. The startup has performed eight million health checkups across thirty countries in nineteen languages with a 93 percent diagnostic engine accuracy. Microsoft, Allianz Partners, Everyday Health, getwell network, Sana Kliniken, and others are among the startup’s clients.

What the founder has to say

“To date, we’ve spent over 60,000 hours of physicians’ work building one of the world’s most advanced medical knowledge bases of diseases, symptoms, and risk factors. We will deploy the new funds to execute our vision of making primary care more efficient and affordable by creating constantly improving AI technology for everyone on the planet,” said Piotr Orzechowski, CEO and Co-Founder at Infermedica.

What the client has to say

“At Sana, our Symptom Checker, which is based on Infermedica’s technology, is directed towards patients and helps patients to understand and assess their symptoms. But the application also helps us better understand what kind of treatment our patients require. These insights are evaluated and translated into actions which allow us to improve further the way we care for our patients,” said Michael Rosenstock, Head of Sana Digital, at Sana Kliniken.
