Austrian EdTech startup GoStudent raises Euro 300 million in Series D

Austria-based GoStudent, an interactive platform that connects students with teachers to provide video-based, one-to-one tutoring, raised Euro 300 million on 11th January 2022.

Investors: The investment round was led by new investors Prosus, Deutsche Telekom, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Tencent, Dragoneer, Left Lane Capital, and Coatue. Bringing the total investment of more than Euro 590 million with a valuation of Euro 3 billion.

Purpose of funding: Using the funding, GoStudent will expand its services across the globe, more focus on K12 services and M&A (Mergers and acquisitions), and expand its market share. Briefly, the startup intends to enter new markets and new regions such as the US, Asia-Pacific and MENA. In addition, it is improving the learning experience of K12 students and acquiring the best service to smoothen the process. Furthermore, the company intends to hire more tutors to increase its market share in existing regions.
