Living Food, an India based food delivery startup that delivers insanely fresh, clean and credible food, has raised USD 7.5 million, led by Amasia, a US-based venture capital firm that focuses on backing companies in the climate change and sustainability space, on 5 January 2022.

Investors: A US-based venture capital firm that focuses on backing companies in the climate change and sustainability space, Amasia led the latest funding round with participation from SOSV and Blume Founders Fund. In addition, prominent angel investors, including Xander Group founder Sid Yog and Nexus Venture Partners cofounder Sandeep Singhal, also contributed to the round.

Founded in 2013, Amasia is a thesis-driven, global venture capital firm based in Burlingame, California. The firm is currently focused on sustainability and climate. Using a nuanced framework designed around behaviour change, the firm invests in founders with global ambitions, from the Seed to Series B stages, across the United States, Southeast Asia, India, Europe and Latin America. Amasia facilitates their growth with access to global markets, global best practices, and global knowledge.

The Objectives behind the funding: The company plans to deploy the current proceeds to expand to Mumbai in early 2022 and to more markets later in the year. In addition, Living Food will also grow its team, improve logistics and tech offerings, as well as launch new brands.
