German tech startup Blickfeld raises USD 31 million in the extension of Series A

Germany-based Blickfeld, a tech startup providing LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensors and software for autonomous vehicles and IoT applications, raised USD 31 million on 8th December 2021.

Investors: The investment round was led by New Future Capital (NFC), a private equity investment firm focusing on Asia, North America, and Europe. The round was backed by existing investors, including Bayern Kapital, Continental, Fluxunit – ams OSRAM Ventures, High-Tech Gründerfonds, Tengelmann Ventures, and UVC Partners.

Purpose of funding: The funds will be used for significant growth and expansion into new markets. The initiative will also support Blickfeld’s development into the US and Asia, strengthening its international presence. Taking advantage of the growing demand in the US and Asia, the new office will expand the network of integrators, enabling customers in all parts of the world to use the products. Additionally, the sales team will grow significantly, focusing on expanding into new markets.
