Harbr raises US$ 38.5 million Series A funding

A London based data exchange enterprise, Harbr announced securing US$ 38.5 million Series A funding on 16th November 2020. This Series A round of funding brings the total investment of Harbr to around US$50 million.

The round was co-led by its new investors Tiger Global Management and Dawn Capital and included participation from old investors Boldstart Ventures, Mike Chalfen, Seedcamp, Backed and Crane Venture Partners. They are planning to use this funding for increasing their team and will focus on sales, marketing and customer growth in the US. The Research & Development and Engineering hub of the company will remain in the UK.

Harbr has seen a rapid increase for their platform built for data exchange amidst the COVID-19 times. The company aims at being the catalyst to unlock complete value of the world’s data by fostering collaboration, connecting ecosystems, enabling to create new values and treating data values like a product. They expand the data across customers, partners, suppliers, citizens and create the ecosystem and make it easy to manage, consume and search within its lifecycle. They offer controlled and safe workspace collaboration that connects tools, data and people at one stage. Also with the new value creation, they foster the growth of the ecosystem by collaborating on models and data.

The cloud based and private data exchanges of Harbr transform data into products which are simple to share, manage and utilize. The platform makes distributed data ownership hassle-free and speeds up the data collaboration in-between external and internal stakeholders. The data collaborators can share the custom data products on data exchanges that replace that single-off process with several cycles of creating values. It maximizes the present investments in analytics & data science tools and warehouses so that data can be made accessible to the right people to address the dynamic needs of the business.

Harbr, Data Exchange

The co-founder and CEO of Harbr, Gary Butler said “Despite of considerable investments in data-focused teams and technologies in the last decade, most of the companies are yet not able to deliver appropriate outcomes from the data in a scalable and timely way. The data sharing capabilities of Harbr’s data exchange platform help with these outcomes.”
