Digital edtech and consulting start-up Grazing Minds promoted by serial techpreneur Sangita Dash and Asish Dash has secured an undisclosed amount in June 2020, as seed funding led by DH Holdings, a London-based private equity and venture capital firm specialized in early and late stage fundings.
The company said it will deploy the funds to counseling teams, build a semi automated platform, strengthen faculty and development of courses.
Established in 2018, Grazing Minds offers live online courses. Presently, it offers full time, three months to one year long courses, online, to its users looking to get into BFSI, logistics and hospitality as careers.
Grazing Minds is an India based management consulting company that has forayed into edtech by providing industry partnered courses in BFSI, hospitality and logistics. The purpose of the startup is to diversify into education to enable the skills it finds crucial while delivering projects for its clients.
Once the professionals get the certification and acquire knowledge, they are absorbed into their in-house consulting and outsourcing programs to cater to their projects in hand and clients.
The company consequently gives career counseling as a major aspect of their student assessment process and connects graduates to industry partners for placement after completion of the course or absorbs the students in-house with various consulting projects being run by Grazing Minds. This results in running an efficient model of consulting “train and deploy” by Grazing Minds achieving higher quality and cost control levels.
Presently, Grazing Minds courses are priced around US$100, which they intend to bring down to US$30 through efficient deployment of investment and higher churn in placement activities. Simultaneously also intend to tap into under-served markets in Southeast Asia, Africa and Europe.
