Beyond Music, a significant international music investment company with over 27,000 songs in its library and headquarters in South Korea, now declares the completion of its most recent USD 170 million strategic fundraising round.

Since the company’s founding in 2021, Beyond Music has successfully raised close to USD 400 million in financing. Praxis Capital, which is Beyond Music’s biggest sponsor, is joined in this strategic round by several of the biggest LPs in Asia.

“Praxis Capital is well known for its successful track record in the content industry, and brings to the table not just capital, but “smart capital” that delivers insight and shared vision,” claims Jangwon Lee, CEO of Beyond Music. “With all-time hits similar to the Bon Jovi, Led Zeppelin, and Whitney Houstons of Asia, Beyond Music has already made a name for itself as the market leader in the area with the most resources, quantitative methods, and records with a track record of increasing value.

The money raised in this fundraising round will be used to buy the rights to timeless tunes and strengthen the company’s ability to close deals for the music rights owners. By holistically increasing value and creating innovative solutions for music rights holders, Beyond Music intends to strengthen its position as the biggest and most active finance provider within the Asian music industry. With the aid of a “buy and build” business strategy, Beyond Music has successfully created and acquired sizable, high-caliber music catalogs and revitalized those songs through proactive value enhancement techniques like remakes, performance marketing, and industry alliances.

Beyond Music will be able to strengthen its position as a market leader in the music investment and catalog business both in Asia and abroad thanks to this infusion of cash. Beyond Music aims to revolutionize the Asian music market by establishing a new solid, quantitative financial infrastructure for songwriters, musicians, and music labels. The company has already completed over 70 catalog transfers. The company believes that song-level management will present significant growth prospects inside and outside Asia as streaming usage and the need for newly revived songs pick up steam. Beyond Music seeks to offer musicians distinctive financial sources so they may take advantage of the expanding demand for the prosperous Asian music business.

Beyond Music is a music rights investment and management company launched in 2021 by legendary hit-songwriter KT Park and CEO Jangwon Lee, a serial entrepreneur who previously founded two prominent businesses, including a music platform company. The company, which controls the rights to over 27,000 songs, including some of the biggest singles of all time in Asia, manages approximately USD 400 million in AUM, making it the most prominent music IP management organization in the area.
