Atlanta, U.S.A-based company, providing integrated payments in PCI-validated encryption and tokenization technologies that protect payments and sensitive data, Bluefin acquired TECS Payment Systems. The company announced the acquisition on November 1, 2022. However, the company did not disclose the amount of the transaction.

TECS Payment Systems is an Austria-based global provider of omnichannel payment solutions to acquirers, payment service providers and POS system providers.

Purpose of acquisition by Bluefin

The acquisition of TECS by Bluefin and TECS enables the companies to serve 34,000 connected merchants and nearly 300 global partners in 55 countries. 

Besides, The strategic combination expands the global footprint of both organizations. Meanwhile, Bluefin and its customers gain omnichannel payments and smartPOS capabilities. Further, the company seeks to integrate it with the existing payments and data security suite. 

On the other hand, TECS and its customers will benefit from the addition of data security solutions that address the growing needs of larger organizations. Moreover, it receives additional resource investment in the innovative TECS product and solution suite. 

As a part of the deal, TECS will be integrated into the Bluefin team. However, it will continue its Austria-based operations, managed locally by TECS CEO and founder Fazlollah Rostamian.
