September 7, 2022, NEW YORK A USD 14.5 million Series A fundraising round led by General Catalyst was successfully closed by CertifyOS, the frictionless provider intelligence platform that offers payors, providers, health systems, and digital health enterprises API-first credentialing, licensing, enrollment, and network monitoring. The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a private, non-profit organization devoted to enhancing healthcare quality, accredited the company, the company added.

With the additional funding, CertifyOS hopes to expand its commercial, product, and technical teams, improve its current insurance credentialing platform, and add hospital credentialing, privileging, network correctness, adequacy, and directory management to its product offerings.

Anshul Rathi, CEO of CertifyOS, said that the funding “reinforces market belief around the significance of integrating provider data silos to make information available, visible, and actionable. Our Series A funding will enable us to build the middle-level infrastructure that connects all of the fragmented data sources currently hosting primary provider data, reducing the boundaries and friction to growing networks that exist in healthcare today,” the company said.

Several companies in the US are currently served by CertifyOS, including VillageMD and Thirty Madison. The organization’s data architecture offers a superior method for processing provider data, reducing turnaround times from the industry average of 28 days to just under two minutes. CertifyOS significantly lowers customer administrative costs by converting the current licensing and credentialing system. On average, this results in a cost savings of over USD 1,500 per user.

More about the startup:

Former workers of Oscar Health founded CertifyOS, which is run by a group with extensive knowledge of the provider licensing and credentialing procedures. The platform was developed based on the leadership of CertifyOS’s collective knowledge gained from credentialing more than 40,000 providers. Systemic efficiencies are produced through complete product automation across the platform, which cuts a typical month-long procedure down to just a few minutes. The platform is independent of UI and may interact with any other platform from a third party, allowing payors to smoothly carry on with provider operations without altering the technical architecture, systems, or practices.

CertifyOS is a frictionless provider intelligence platform that offers payors, providers, health systems, and digital health firms API-first credentialing, licensing, enrollment, and network monitoring. With the help of our ground-breaking technology, which enables physicians, teams, and organizations to gain new insights, one-click credentialing and real-time network monitoring are now possible. Utilizing just five data points, our end-to-end solution reduces verification time to a few minutes. For providers to concentrate on providing care rather than administrative tasks.

CertifyOS streamlines network administration processes and eliminates obstacles. Our team at Oscar Health has more than 25 years of combined experience developing provider data platforms. We are supported by premier venture capital firms that believe in the potential of healthcare provider intelligence.
