ATLANTA— On June 22, Florence Healthcare, a clinical trial software provider that acts as a digital conduit between sponsors, CROs, and clinical trial sites, announced its USD 27 million Series C-1 investment round. This financing was led by the same international software investor, Insight Partners, who had led the Series C.

What the founders have to say:

Catherine Gregor, Chief Clinical Trial Officer:

“Due to technology’s efficiency, we are seeing new sorts of research sites emerge in our network, from pharmacies and labs to community clinics and primary care physicians. Faster enrollment and greater diversity among trial participants will be made possible by these new patient access points, which will result in products with safety profiles that are more representative of the individuals they will be used to treat. Sponsors will also be better able to adhere to the changing regulations for regulatory approval with the support of enhanced representation among study participants.

Ryan Jones, CEO of Florence Healthcare:

“With the help of this financing, we’re solidifying our position as the research hub for the age of remote work. With this financing, we are marking the 100 millionth research document uploaded on our platform and the 100 millionth distant research activity carried out within our ecosystem.”

More about the company:

More than 10,000 research sites in 45 countries can manage their documents, data, and workflows with Florence Healthcare’s clinical trial software. For sponsors and contract research organizations (CROs) to work with their sites anywhere in the world, the Florence HealthcareTM platform now offers remote access. Florence Healthcare consumers now carry out three million remote monitoring actions each month.

In the previous year, Florence Healthcare expanded quickly. With digital document workflows that reinforce regulatory compliance, increase user engagement, and offer seamless remote connectivity, the company’s eBindersTM platform currently streamlines operations for study sites in 45 countries.

By connecting sites, sponsors, and CROs in a single document workflow environment, Florence Healthcare’s SiteLinkTM technology now supports 4 million remote research operations each month. Sponsors can connect remotely to study sites for all phases and therapeutic areas of clinical trials using SiteLink.

Clinical trials will be done at locations closer to underrepresented patients who cannot afford to go to extensive university medical facilities thanks to the digitization of research operations, which will also assist in diversifying the site landscape. A study site using Florence Healthcare software is located within 25 miles of 80 percent of the nation’s population, according to a recent announcement by Florence Healthcare.
