Repos Energy, a Pune-based energy distribution business, secured Rs 56 crore (US $7.2 million) from Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, and other investors on May 26, 2022. As part of the pre-series, new funding was raised. According to the corporation, a capital round consists of equity and debt.

On the other hand, Repos Energy did not reveal the names of the other investors. This is Ratan Tata’s second round of investing in the company.

According to the company, the cash will develop Repos’ product line, expand into new locations around the country, and build its personnel.

The additional funds will also allow the company to invest in cutting-edge technologies such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), IoT (Internet of Things and blockchain to make the energy distribution system completely frictionless in the future, according to the company.
