— BOULDER, Colo., and NEW YORK — On the 12th of May 2022, TIFIN, a financial platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and investment-driven personalization to influence the future of investor experiences, announced the successful completion of a US $109 million Series D fundraising round.

Previous strategic investors include Franklin Resources (NYSE: BEN), a worldwide investment manager under Franklin Templeton, and Motive Partners, a next-generation investment firm focused on technology-enabled enterprises that fuel the financial services industry.

In October 2021, Hamilton Lane (NASDAQ: HLNE), a major private markets investment firm, became a Series C investor. In April 2021, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Morningstar, and Broadridge became investors in the firm’s Series B round. As part of the deal, Motive Partners’ Founder and Managing Partner, Rob Heyvaert, will join the TIFIN board of directors.

This extra financing, along with money raised previously, will help TIFIN continue to grow, with a focus on Magnifi’s consumer platform, Distill’s expansion with asset and wealth enterprises, TIFIN’s international expansion, and other fintech innovation activities.

What the founder has to say:

Dr. Vinay Nair, Founder, and CEO of TIFIN:

“Individuals need more engaging and digitally intuitive ways, thus hyper-personalized experiences are important for the future of investment management. At TIFIN, we’re developing algorithms to enable this across a variety of wealth and investment journeys, leveraging natural language processing and conversational AI to make the user experience as simple as possible.

At the same time, we’re employing targeted, data-driven, and end-to-end automation to enable digital distribution for our asset management clients. We’re thrilled to have Franklin Resources and Motive Partners join us on this adventure, as well as Rob joining our Board of Directors. We are excited to collaborate with them and benefit from their globally known experience and connections in our industry. We also appreciate the contributions of current investors such as Hamilton Lane and JP Morgan.”

What the investors have to say:

Jenny Johnson, President and CEO of Franklin Templeton:

“How financial solutions are supplied is fast changing thanks to wealth-tech and individualized guidance. We are pleased to work with TIFIN as a strategic investor to develop cutting-edge digital solutions based on a diverse set of investment methods, smart algorithms, and scalable technology.”
