Hyper-social gaming platform Bombay Play raised USD 7 million (over INR 52 crore) in the Series A round of funding. Bangalore-based gaming startup raised funds on April 4, 2022.

Kalaari Capital led the Series A round of funding for Bombay Play.

Besides, existing investors Lumikai Fund, Leo Capital, and PlayCo participated in the funding. Meanwhile, new investors like Winzo, AdvantEdge VC, and AMEA Ventures, amongst others, invested in the round.

Purpose of Funding for Bombay Play

The recent funding will aid the company to invest in scaling its existing ‘hyper-social’ game offerings. It will also support upcoming projects and allocate capital toward product development. Vested Finance will also focus on innovation and technological capabilities.

So far, Bombay Play has raised over USD 9.5 million (INR 72 crore) in the capital since its pre-Series A round in 2020.
