Instant live tutoring startup, Filo raised USD 23 million in Series A round on March 4, 2022. Anthos Capital led the Series A funding. The funding also came from Filo’s existing investors, Better Capital, GSV, and Sapling Capital. Other individual investors such as Gokul Rajaram; co-founder of Kabbage, Rob Frohwein; founders of Loft, Mate Pencz and Florian Hagenbuch; Dutchie co-founder, Ross Lipson, participated in the round. Amongst the Indian ed-tech space, Filo’s funding is the largest Series A round.

The edtech startup plans to use the fresh capital for product development. Filo will also expand its team and tap into new categories.

The firm also looks forward to scaling its tutor base across the country.

Previously, Filo raised a pre-seed round at the idea stage. Later, it raised USD 2 million from Better Capital in September 2021.
