Zenjob, a job marketplace platform that connects students looking for part-time jobs in retail, logistics, and hospitality with employers looking for temporary workers, has raised US $50 million in a Series D round of funding on 22nd Feb.

The new funding will be used to expand throughout Europe, including the United Kingdom, where it plans to launch this summer, as well as product development, including new data-based automation features that the company claims are in the works to meet the needs of its growing customer base, such as supporting new “white collar” job categories.

Aragon is leading the Series D round, including all of Zenjob’s current investors, Acton Capital, Atlantic Labs, Forestay, and Axa Venture Partners.

What the founders have to say:

Founders of Zenjob.

Fritz Trott, co-founder and CEO of Zenjob, said, “The growing need for temporary employment allows assisting people in booking trustworthy jobs with the touch of a button while giving perks like speedier payouts and a constant stream of income. It’s a win-win situation for both businesses and our employees. For us, this is the foundation to build our platform and extend our services to other cities and countries.”

What investors have to say:

“We believe that the way we operate is fundamentally altering. An ‘on-demand’ workforce will be one of the primary elements of what we term work 3.0, with employers confronting a growing skills scarcity and ‘talents’ desiring more flexibility. ZenJob has created a data-driven employment marketplace to help employees and employers migrate to a more flexible, technology-enabled paradigm. “We’re pleased to assist ZenJob as it pursues its goal of disrupting flexible employment across Europe and advancing its slogan of ‘putting talents first,'” said Anne Dias, Aragon’s founder, and CEO.
