German-based Wingcopter, an aviation startup manufacturing and operating drone technology for meaningful humanitarian and commercial applications, raised an undisclosed amount on 16th December.

Investors: The investment round was led by SYNERJET Corp, an aviation company operating in Latin America, including Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Panama, and Guatemala. However, Wingcopter has not released the exact amount of the investment, following recent investment announcements from the DRONE FUND in Japan and Uber co-founder Garrett Camp’s Expa.

Synerjet joins existing investors DRONE FUND, Expa, Xplorer Capital, Futury Capital, Hessen Kapital III, and Corecam Capital Partners as a new investor. Furthermore, recent investments were made in connection with Wingcopter’s Series B investment round in 2022.

Purpose of funding: This funding will expand the startup’s reach across the Latin American market and reinforce its customer approach.

Before, SYNERJET had already partnered with Wingcopter. As an Authorized Partner, the company participates in Wingcopter’s Authorized Partner Program (WAPP), which allows companies to distribute the Wingcopter 198 and provide technical support for the product.

Soon after joining, SYNERJET invested. The partnership marks an essential step in Wingcopter’s global expansion plans and a gateway to the Latin American market. SYNERJET’s strong relationships and experience with local civil aviation authorities SYNERJET will offer the company in-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework.
