Indian healthcare startup Mindhouse raises USD 6 million in seed round

India-based Mindhouse, an online platform for yoga and nutrition-based healthcare, raised USD 6 million on 19th November.

Investors: The seed round was led by Binny Bansal. Among the participants in this round were General Catalyst, Better Capital, Kwaish Capital, Anicut, and founders Pooja Khanna and Pankaj Chaddah. There were also angel investors present, including Rohit MA of Cloudnine, Ritesh Malik of Innov8, and Karan Singh & Sri Rajan of Bain & Co.

Purpose of funding: The startup hopes to build a strong team, enhance its technological platforms, expand globally, and create real value for customers. Seventy-five per cent of its revenues currently come from India, but the startup wants to expand globally. Furthermore, it plans to offer mental wellness services to a broader customer base with professional experience. The company plans to take the lead in the market with more comprehensive coverage in the healthcare sector.

Founded in 2019 by Pooja Khanna and Pankaj Chaddah, Mindhouse is located in Gurgaon, Haryana. Mindhouse offers mental wellness through its online platform as well as curative wellness services. Women’s health, chronic ailments, everyday wellbeing and mental health are the specific conditions addressed in yoga-based interactive classes and DIY content. As of now, the startup offers a range of wellness services to patients facing health conditions and chronic illnesses that require significant lifestyle changes to treat. In the past few years, the wellness market in India has steadily grown. As disposable income has risen and private investors have entered, the growth has been supported.
