Batmaid, a Switzerland-based startup offering cleaning services through a digital platform, has secured €23 million euros in a Series B funding round led by AEVIS VICTORIA SA on 9 September 2021.
Investors: The latest investment round featured AEVIS VICTORIA SA as the lead investor. The startup has managed to raise, in total, US$ 25.5 million to date.
Purpose of the funding: The startup seeks to deploy the proceeds from the investment round towards stimulating its international expansion into 21 cities in 15 nations.
Brought to existence in 2014 by Andreas Schollin and Eric C. Laudet, Batmaid offers a digital platform enabling users to use cleaning services. The firm is a subsidiary of Batgroup, offering a 360-degree solution for every cleaning service requirement, such as commercial cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleaning, and home cleaning. Batmaid has also started delivering a class of biodegradable cleaning products with the help of its latest Batmaid Club service since March 2021, delivered explicitly to customer’s residences as part of their subscription. The company also introduced cleaning offering Batmaid Dry in Lausanne and a new pilot laundry. The company has employed 200 employees across Zurich, Lugano, Warsaw, Paris, Luxembourg, Milano and headquarters at Lausanne and 4,000 salaried cleaning workers. They cater to more than 70,000 people across Switzerland. Batmaid employs an aggressive vetting process of professionals while providing administrative assistance and quality assurance to its customers.
