About the startup

Kry bags €262 million in Series D funding

Kry was founded in 2015. Its technology connects patients with qualified healthcare professionals. The startup, apart from offering its core video consultation technology, which is already available in 30 European markets, has also added enhanced triage, advanced queuing and matching functionality, paperless referral management, secure patient messaging and personalized treatment plans for its clinicians. To date, the startup has helped more than three million patients’ access healthcare. Kry grew over 100% year-on-year in 2020 in response to supporting patients and healthcare systems across Europe during the COVID-19 pandemic. The fresh capital will also help the startup meet the growing patient demand for their virtual healthcare services and achieve its vision of making high-quality healthcare accessible for all. Kry will also use the funding to increase the headcount of its team and discover further acquisitions and strategic collaborations.

Statements from the stakeholders

CEO and co-founder of Kry, Johannes Schildt said this investment will help the startup empower patients to make active choices about their health in association with thousands of public and private healthcare professionals in Europe.
