About EcoCart

EcoCart’s mission is to make fighting against climate change simple, cost-effective and accessible for everyone. It has over 10,000+ partner stores. If a person is shopping from these stores, they can go to the EcoCart browser extension and click “Make My Order Carbon Neutral.” EcoCart will then offset the environmental impact of the order all at no additional cost.

EcoCart donates to scientifically verified carbon offsetting projects that comply with the world’s major carbon standards. EcoCart also integrates with Shopify, giving merchants the ability to offer carbon-neutral shipping to their customers.

Online shopping is a big contributor to climate change. According to EcoCart, in the Pre-COVID period, every day in the U.S. alone, e-commerce packages travelled roughly the same distance as going to the moon and back 133,000 times. EcoCart’s aims to mitigate the harm caused by online shopping in an innovative, easy and affordable way.

Some of EcoCart’s partners include Atoms, The Little Market, Siete Foods, Christy Dawn and Monday Swimwear. They trust EcoCart to offer carbon-neutral products to their customers. The partner brands can also opt to make all orders on their sites carbon neutral on behalf of their customers.

What the investors have to say: “We believe EcoCart is reinventing how brands interact with their customers while also managing and addressing their environmental impact at scale. EcoCart represents a solution that is helping reverse decades of harmful climate change. Base10 is proud to be partnering with the EcoCart founders as they continue to make carbon-neutral shopping the new checkout standard for industries including retail, micro-mobility, food delivery, and more.” — said Chris Zeoli, Principal at Base10 Partners.
