Curri secures US $ 6 million

Curri, a California based startup that provides organised delivery of construction materials and supplies, announced on 2nd April 2021 that it has raised US $ 6 million in its Series A round. The round was led by Brick and Mortar Ventures along with participation from Initialized Capital and Rainfall Ventures.

Investors: Brick and Mortar Ventures is a California, United States, based investment firm that was founded in the year 2015 by Darren Bechtel. It is predominantly focused on venture capital investments in companies that provide software and hardware solutions for real estate, hospitality and construction industries. Its portfolio included companies such as Buildzoom, Fieldwire, Holo Builder, SafeAI and more.

“I am pleased to be joining Curri’s board and partnering with Matthew and the Curri team as they continue to scale. Recent supply chain disruptions, both domestic and abroad, and increased complexity in managing logistics have highlighted the need to solve how to move complex cargo more effectively. Curri’s deep layer of predictive machine learning technology has the power to dramatically enhance the industry’s efficiency.”—Darren Bechtel, managing partner at Brick and Mortar Ventures.

Curri would be utilising the current round of investment to expand its services and market reach.

About Curri:

Curri was founded in the year 2018 by Brian Gonzalez and Matthew Lafferty. In the construction industry on-time arrival of supplies and materials is essential. Contractors typically lose a lot of time on supply runs and sometimes the work gets delayed simply due to a problem with logistics.

Curri handles all construction-related logistics, be it supply runs,in-store pickups or warehouse to site delivery, in a smooth and efficient manner.

Here’s how it works:-

Users/contractors simply have to arrange their orders by opening Curri’s app and entering pick-up & drop off locations. Curri’s drivers will immediately pick up the supplies and be on their way. Further Curri provides real-time tracking and updates along with proof of delivery with signatures and photographs.

What the CEO has to say:

“Our latest Series A funding enables us to continue our rapid growth and meet the overwhelming demand … but make no doubt this is a global business. We’re expanding our services and the markets we reach by providing customers with advanced technology, complete transparency and the fastest delivery options in the industry.”—Matthew Lafferty, co-founder and CEO of Curri.
