Amazon’s accelerator programme

Amazon’s accelerator programme – Amazon Global Selling Propel (AGSP) Accelerator, announced the names of the 10 shortlisted startups on 11 March 2021. They will also get a chance to win an equity-free grant of US$ 50,000 from Amazon.

The accelerator received over 500 applications from 120 cities, just weeks before the programme was launched in January 2021. The program is mainly for India-based startups and aims to support them to reach a global customer base. The Amazon Global Selling Programme will offer the startups mentorship and the required support.

The accelerator has also partnered up with Startup India to launch the programme. It will provide emerging brands with a brilliant opportunity to bring their business propositions to life. With Amazon Global Selling, the eCommerce giant aims to make exports simple and accessible to all kinds of businesses and fulfil their commitment of enabling US$ 10 billion in eCommerce exports from India by 2025. Amazon Global Selling was launched in 2015.
